We offer 4 types of accommodation (subject to availability):

The occupancy of double rooms or double flats is intended exclusively for married couples, couples, friends, siblings and the like. It is assumed that every resident attends one of our intensive courses.

1. + 2.: Accommodation in a shared apartment

Our shared apartments consist of 4 to 6 completely and modernly furnished single or double rooms.

The residents share 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen. In each apartment, a washer and a dryer are available free of charge for the flatmates.

The kitchen is fully equipped for normal use.

Wi-Fi is available. For streaming films, TV and videos, we recommend organizing your own internet access.

Cleaning of the apartment-sharing community: There is no cleaning staff. The tenants themselves are responsible for cleaning the apartment. Everyone receives a cleaning plan with the weekly tasks.

3. + 4.: Accommodation in private apartments

Our private apartments consist of a large furnished room, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped for normal use.

A washer and a dryer are available free of charge in the cellar. Wi-Fi is available for normal use in the home. For streaming films, TV and videos, we recommend organizing your own internet access.

  • The desired room reservation must be noted on the registration form. Depending on the current occupancy, a choice may not be possible! In this case, we will try to find the best possible solution.
  • The room deposit (€ 100), course fee (€ 370) and a down payment of € 250 (per participant) must be transferred to our account at least one month before the start of the course.
  • The warm rent (including all utilities and additional costs) is due one month in advance. The rooms are only available during participation in the intensive courses and for the entire course month.
  • For reasons of hygiene, there are no bed linen in the rooms (pillows, blankets, covers). These can be booked in advance and rented at a rate of € 30 for the duration of your stay.
  • Please note that a free cancellation is only possible until 4 weeks before the start of the course. Rental extensions and/or departures must be notified at least 4 weeks in advance.

To give students an idea of the living expenses in Germany, we have made up an example:Wohnzimmer

Course fees
€ 370
Study materials
~ € 30
Rent (all incl.)
~ € 350
Health insurance
€ 30
~ € 300
Transportation  (train, tram, etc.)
~ € 75
~ € 1155

This is the minimum amount of money necessary per month. Living costs certainly depend on one's personal lifestyle, but students should have no less than this amount available. Non EU-students with a language-course visa are not allowed to work in Germany!

Students with a room reservation can be met at the train or bus station and taken to their accommodation (during the day). There is a shuttle-service from Frankfurt Airport to Heidelberg:

pfeil rechts FlixBus

Arrival is on the Sunday before the course starts between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., departure is on the Saturday after the course ends between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. For students arriving outside the fixed arrival times, we are happy to arrange individual pick-up (e.g. taxi) - however, the costs for this (approx. 25 €) have to be paid by the students themselves.
You will be given detailed information and a city map.

Students are required to register with the Office of Foreign Affairs within one week on arrival. As this agency is in the vicinity, the Pädagogium can take care of the registration.
